Rob MacLeod is principal of MacLeod and Company —an independent company in the field of Employee Marketing and Performance Solutions Design. Rob has over thirty years in performance improvement, starting with designing performance standards for the recreational sailing industry. From there, Rob went on to develop training programs in leadership and customer service for transit, vertical transportation, electronics, homebuilding and automotive industries in both the public and private sectors. Rob’s work took on an international flavour while developing and delivering customer and employee retention programs in Taiwan, Thailand, India and Mexico. With a degree in accounting, Rob brings a unique blend of business acumen and strong people skills.

Rob’s strong multimedia background lead to the award winning series Set Your Sails featured on TVOntario (1989) and PBS (US) (1990) based on Rob’s best seling Basic Sailing and Cruising Skills (1985). Rob authored four instructional books on the sport of sailing. Recent multimedia and performance improvement initiatives include projects for: Lexus, Toyota , Tridel and Port Credit Boat Show. Rob’s latest book—From Landfalls to Legacies: Lessons in leadership from a master sailor brings together 15 years as one of North America’s top instructional innovators in sailing and 15 years of improving performance in organizations from one person and to some of the world’s largest company's and organizations.
